Fuel Level Measurement
The international code of safety for ships using gases or other low-flashpoint fuels (IGF Code) proclaims that each liquefied gas tank shall be fitted with a liquid level gauging device, arranged to ensure a level reading is always obtainable whenever the tank is operational. In addition, the tank shall be fitted with devices for overflow control, including high level and overfill sensors. Furthermore, the tank shall also be equipped with vapor space pressure measurement devices and sensors to indicate the temperature of the fuel.
